Five features of cohesion
A
- social-oriented cohesion: degree of attraction to one another and to the group as a whole
- task-oriented cohesion: degree of commitment to working together as a coordinated unit
- collective cohesion: degree of consensual identification with the group based on shared identity -> “we are one family”
- emotional cohesion: degree of emotional intensity between members when together in a group
- structural group cohesion: degree of integrity based relationships between group members
