- Master key in and on
- check park brakes are applied
- wait until all buzzers have stopped sounding
- press Pantograph Up button
- Check line voltage indicator is illuminated
- Check Panto Up button extinguishes
- Visually confirm pantos have risen.
What two ways can the pantographs be lowered?
- Stable button
- Panto down button
Can you use the Panto Down button to stable the train?
No – you will drain the batteries you dingus
How do we lower pantographs via stable button?
- Have master controller key OUT of key switch (park brake light on)
- Press stable button
- Ensure pantos have lowered and line voltage light extinguishes

on A side at the number 2 end of motor cars (to the right of door 2)
How do we manually isolale doors?
with triangle tri-key, in the pelmet above each door

Lol, no. It illuminates when air pressure drops below the pressure switch setting and air pressure is not recovered to normal main res settings.
When would the brake pipe mode indicator begin to flash in the driving cab?
When the switch has been turned for the purposes of train recovery or rescue
How long does the Electric Brake Inhibit button isolate the electro-dynamic brake for?
5 minutes

Door loop bypass, safety loop bypass, trip bypass

You won’t be able to stable the train
(pantos won’t lower on unit with tripped MCB, SIVs won’t shut down, saloon lighting will stay on)
How do we divide a train with 1 driver? (long answer, familiarise – not memorise)
CHECK:
- No flags, tags, banners
- Pantos are raised
- train is in correct position
IN CENTRE CAB:
- Check for TMMs/notices
- Activate cab
- Ensure emergency pressure in cylinders
- Park brake is illuminated
- Press uncouple
- Observe uncouple button extinguish
Then change ends on same unit and toot toot away
How do we perform a safety loop continuity test after attaching?
- Make lead cab active
- Call centre cab
