How is shoulder dystocia managed?

A

Call for help

Consider episiotomy

1st line

  • McRoberts procedure - maternal knees to chest
  • suprapubic pressure

2nd line

  • insert hand into vagina and grab posterior arm
  • internally rotate fetus
