Q

obstructive shock

A

condition prevents blood getting back to heart
rare, emergency

Q

shock signs

A

lethargy
pale or very red mm (distributive shock red)
poor pulses
high or low HR
depression
collapse
cold extremities
bloated abdomen (obstructive)

common to all:
increased lactate
metabolic acidosis
mm colour change
weak pulses
increased HR (dogs)
decreased HR (cats)
