Option click the volume control line in the timeline to create Keyframes that allow you to adjust that specific section of the clip.

The share icon next to the project name indicates that the project has been shared. This icon also appears next to the project name in the timeline.

Why would you want to create a disk image of your project?
A disk image (.img ) is a useful way to archive events and projects within a container that simulates a volume from a hard disk. With good media management practice in Final Cut Pro 10, the disk image should contain everything necessary for editing those projects.
