How do you view and disable effects applied to timeline clips?
Select the clip in the timeline. Click the inspector button in the toolbar, or press command-4. Click the video tab if necessary. To disable an effect, deselect the blue checkbox next to the effects you don’t want to view.

Select one or more clips in the timeline. Then, in the effects browser, double-click and effect thumbnail. You can also drag in effect from the effect browser to modify one clip at a time.
