Operation:
At Sea:
a. Attach lanyard with snap hook to life vest/slide raft

c. Put the transmitter into water

On land:
a. Place transmitter in upright position on clear, open ground to ensure maximum radiation/transmission

c. Pull and slide toggle switch to “ON” position
Indication:
a. Red LED will flash intermittently
b. Buzzer will sound

Flight Deck escape rope operation sequence
Operation
a. Remove the plastic cover
b. Pull escape rope to ensure it is securely attached to the aircraft
c. Throw escape rope out of opened Flight Deck window
d. Step on jump seat (Flight Crew seat) cushion and grasp escape rope
e. Exit using Leg - Body - Leg technique
f. Climb down the escape rope

To operate
a. Remove the HANDLE COVER
b. HATCH HANDLE will illuminate
c. SLIDE ARMED indicator will illuminate
d. Pull the HATCH HANDLE down (with hand furthest from exit). Hatch will move inwards.
e. Lift and turn hatch from frame by holding the HATCH HANDLE (with hand furthest from exit) and GRIP MOULD (with hand closest to exit)
f. Throw the hatch outside away from the evacuation route
g. If the Overwing ramp slide fails to inflate, pull the Red MIH located at the exit frame.
The PIC is accountable for the SEP manual in the flight deck

Limitations
Forbidden - Articles and substances that are specifically by name or generic description in the Technical Instructions as being forbidden for transport by air under any circumstances
Forbidden Unless Exempted - Goods are considered to be too dangerous for transport by air in normal course of events. In exceptional circumstances and under exemption granted by the States concerned, these dangerous goods should be carried provided that the details of the government exemption with in their entirely
Acceptable - Goods should be carried on aircraft as cargo provided they are properly prepared for transport in accordance with the regulations
Exceptable - Goods that is acceptable for transport by air in limited quantity on a conditional basis

Apron slide is used when
If an escape slide / slide raft fails to inflate by any means, it will hang down outside the aircraft. Two (02) people should climb down the slide and extend it using the hand grips. It can then be held at an angle to support evacuating passengers. Instruct passengers to sit and slide
