Twitter’s Jack Dorsey Created a Walled Internet Garden. Then he realized he hated tending

A

Jack dorsey CEO twitter created a walled garden or a way to make twitter decentrailized and better protected from privacy ads, fake news and hate. The author of the article disagrees with this action to be the correct action to take as this is most likely just another way of major social media firms trying to get around taking responsibility and surrendering to goverment regulation. The author suggests that the public respond by denying protocol responses and pushing for goverment regulation that demands revelation of where ads are coming from, and the types of projects going on.

Q

Twitter details political ad ban, admits it’s imperfect

A

Twitter is interested in banning political ads from it’s platform in an effort to prevent politicians from spreading false information. Twitter admits it would have a tough time doing so as it has had a tough time of getting rid of false ads and hate speech in the past. It however is taking action unlike google and facebook who are allowing politicians to communicate to users and are staying silent on the issue. This will cover votes, asking for campain funding and any other political content.

Hitting the books: What it would be like to live in city owned by twitter

A

The main character lisa can gain followers by advertising ads on her shirt for a certain number of time while walking or by creating interesting content and ads. She selects ads based on the number of followers they are willing to pay per hour. In this case she walks for 7 hours to gather enough followers to pay her utility bill.
