Innervation - trigeminal, cornual, frontal
Vascular - maxillary artery
How does disbudding kids differ to disbudding calves?
Kids frontal sinuses are small so excessive heat can damage brain

What tissues are antlers composed of?
Bone, cartilage, skin, BVs and velvet (specialised tissue)

How do antlers differ from horns?
Antlers are true bone
Antler grow and shed annually
What is the relationship between skin and the underlying antler?
Velvet covers developing antler and supplies nutrients for growth
