What is an Abstract?
Summary of the key details of the report eg aim, hypothesis, method, results and conclusion
What is the purpose of an Abstract?
To know whether the research study is worth examining any further
What is an Introduction?
Information of past research on a similar topic which mentions relevant theories, studies and concepts
Aims and hypothesis of the study
What is a Method?
Description of what the researchers did exactly when they undertook the study
Design, sampling method, procedure etc)
Enough detail so research replicable
What are Results?
All the findings from the study
Tables/ graphs/ Inferential tests
What is a Discussion?
Researcher considers exactly what the findings mean for us and psychological theories
What is Referencing?
A list of all the sources that were quoted or referred to in the report
