Catatonia
Little to no emotion (flat effect)
Inappropriate emotional responses

Laughing at something sad
What are examples of disorganised thoughts (schizophrenia)?
Thought insertion (someone putting thoughts in your head)
Thought withdrawal (someone is taking my thoughts)
What are examples of negative symptoms in schizophrenia?
Alogia (poverty of speech)
Loss of avolition (severe lack of motivation)
Flattened affect (little to no emotion)
When does schizophrenia usually affect men?
Late teens
When does schizophrenia usually affect women?
In late twenties to mid 30s
How likely are you to get schizophrenia (%)?
<1% chance of getting it (0.3-0.7%)
How does schizophrenia affect those with psychosis?
Worse prognosis before late adolescence than those who develop it later on, with it being more severe and lasting longer
