Scapular Flashcards
What is the superior border
This is the shortest and more irregular border
What is the scapular notch
It is a feature found on the superior border, semi-circular notch in shape
What is the Coracoid process
Blunt, anterior projection above the glenoid cavity
What is the subscapular fossa
Shallow concavity that dominated the anterior surface
What are the oblique ridges
They run across the subscapular fossa from lateral to medial - muscle attachments
Which is the dorsal and costal surface
The back and front
Which is the lateral and medial border
Lateral is the thickest border down from the glenoid process, and the medial is the middle curved border
Where are the superior and inferior angles
Superior is where the superior and medial borders intersect and then the inferior is where the vertebral and axillary borders intersect
What is the glenoid fossa
Shallow concavity that receives the head of the humerus
Where is the neck of the scapular
Constricted region just medial to the glenoid fossa
Where is the spine of the scapular
This dominates the posterior surface - along the top
Where is the Acromion
The lateral projection of the spine
Where is the supraspinatus fossa
Large hollowing superior to the base of the spine
Where is the Infraspinatus fossa
Is the hollowing inferior to the spine
Where is the suprascapular notch
It dip on the superior border
