A
- acute asthma
- presence of an expiratory wheeze
- Exacerbation of COPD
- SOB associated with left ventricular failure

- Oral
- Parental
- Inhalational (aerosol inhaler 100mcg/dose and nebuliser 2.5mg/5mg)

Pharmacological Action
A
- short acting/selective Beta2 agonist
- dilation of bronchi
- specific to smooth muscle of lower airway
- increases ciliary transport of mucous
- uterine wall relaxant
- has no anti-inflammatory properties

- tremor (shaking)
- Tachycardia/palpitations
