Q

What are the differences between the doctrines of: Premillinialism, Postmillenialism and Amillinialism?

A

Premillennialism: Christ’s return is required to bring about the millennium, because nothing short of this will be sufficient. The kingdom of God is an eschatological reality that replaces history.

Postmillennialism: Christ’s return will come as the culmination of the millennium. In this view, the kingdom of God is a historical reality that comes within history.

Amillennialism: Christ’s return will take place without a millennium, since God does not intend to bring about a worldwide era of peace and justice on earth. The kingdom of God is a spiritual reality separate from history.

Q

What is the relationship between Israel and the Church?

A

Israel and the church are both unlikely and undeserving collections of peoples chosen by God and part of His future plan for the world.
God has specific plans to use Israel and specific plans that bring unity for Israel (1st missionaries) and the church (2nd missionaries).
Eph. 2:19 says we are one household in Christ.
