How does inhaling work?
There is higher pressure outside and we have low pressure in the lungs. We increase volume in our pleural cavity to decrease pressure. Also, our diaphragm contracts and goes down. Air moves from high to low.
How does exhaling work?
There is low pressure outside and we have high pressure in the lungs. We decrease volume in our pleural cavity to increase pressure. Also, our diaphragm moves up and relaxes. Air moves from high to low.
