making sure that nothing besides the independent variable can affect the dependent variable , requires tight controls.
What is External Validity?
the extent to which research results can be generalized beyond the current situation, people.
What is deception?
used in research when participants are misinformed or misled about the studies methods, purposes.
What is debriefing?
informs participants about the true nature of the experiment after its completion.
