What should the title be?
Clear, relevant and fully informative
What should the table of contents be?
Description of where different information is within the study
What should Abstract be?
A summary of the research, including aim and hypothesis, method, results, conclusions and suggestions for future research
What should the introduction include?
Details about why the study was conducted, including general theoretical background and previous research into the topic
What should the aim state?
Exactly what is being investigated
What should the hypothesis be?
Predictions of what will be find. A justification is given as to why one-tailed or two-tailed
Level of significance is explained, usually p<0.05
What should the procedure/ method include?
Outline of what was done - included so the study can be replicated
Information shared includes design, RPS (sampling), materials, standardised procedure and controls
What should the findings include?
A presentation of what was found including graphical representations, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics which are explained in terms of acceptance or rejection of hypothesis
What should the discussion include?
Explanation of findings, relationship of the findings to background research, limitations and modifications of the method and implications of the research as well as suggestions for future research
What should the conclusion do?
Summarise key conclusions drawn from the study
What should the references include?
References to all research consulted, included journal articles, books and chapters from books
What is the appendices?
Instructions given to RPS, raw data and calculations completed
