A summary, aim, alternative hypothesis, type of design, controls, IV’s and DV’s, sample, results, conclusions
What is included in the introduction?
Background theory and studies, aim and hypothesis into context
What is included in the method?
Design, materials, participants, procedure
What is included in the results?
Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics
What are descriptive statistics?
Measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode, range)
What are inferential statistics?
Statistical tests (Mann Whit, Wilcoxon, Chi Squared, Binomial, Spearman’s Rho)
What is included in the discussion?
Explaining the findings, linking back to studies, weaknesses and modifications and future research, conclusion
What is referencing?
Harvard Referencing - surname, initials, date, title, publisher and location
What is included in the appendices?
Consent form, standardised instructions, ethics sheet, materials, raw data, statistical analysis
