When members require medical treatment as a result of respiratory injuries incurred while operating with donned facepieces of self-contained breathing apparatus, the following procedure shall be complied with by the Incident Commander

When a member suffers an injury to an area of the body which is covered by protective clothing/equipment intended to prevent such an injury, and THE MEMBER IS granted MEDICAL LEAVE...

at fatal fire and arson investigations, security of the incident scene is of the utmost importance. Evidence must be documented, collected and preserved. Depending on the incident, the investigation may extend over a period of time. In these situations, a fire line must be established.
Relatives, neighbors, spectators, the media and members of the Department shall not cross established f ire lines unless authorized by the ASSIGNED Fire Marshal and/or Chief of Operations.

Battalion Chiefs, in consultation with DSCO, are authorized to permit any member, below the rank of Lieutenant, to work tours of duty to repay leaves granted when LESS THAN MINIMUM STAFFING EXISTS
Members in the rank of Lieutenant and above shall be permitted to repay tour(s) granted, after consultation with Officer Assignment Desk, by Deputy Chiefs. Repayment is only permitted when Minimum Staffing or Post Coverage is needed.

Supervisors are responsible for maintaining a professional work environment for subordinates. This includes conducting periodic inspections of all Department facilities to ensure that materials prohibited by the Department's EEO or Anti-Hazing / Bullying Policies are not displayed or viewed in any FDNY facility. When a supervisor or Officer is unsure as to whether any material violates the Department's policies or regulations, he or she shall promptly consult with the Department's EEO Office. All areas of quarters are subject to these regulations, including personal lockers.

A drill and instruction period of one (1) hour each tour must be conducted by the Company Officer from Monday through Friday. Standard drill time is from 1400 to 1500 hours on the 9x6 tour, and 1900 to 2000 hours on the 6x9 tour. The subject and/or time of drill should be flexible.
