A

All the different schools had different rules - a common rule book was needed

NGB’s were established through University ‘melting pot’ (FA 1863)

The boys were NGB administrators

Games were spread nationally via careers such as vicars and industrialists

The lead to national competitions such as the FA Cup

Sports and games were exported internationally to the British Empire by army officers E.g. Cricket to Australia
