What are some neurological vulnerabilities?
low cortisol levels, increased blood flow
What are some development risk factors?
stress sensitization, attachement styles, history of psychiatric illness
What are some personality factors?
neuroticism, resilince, impulsivity
What are some psychological vulnerabilities?
lack of social support, external locus of control
What are some cognitive vulnerabilities?
problem vs emotion focused coping, rumination
What are risk factors during trauma?
dissassociation, cognitive appraisal, biological reaction, this all retards the trauma coping
What is the cognitive appraisal?
the world is a safe place - traumatic event - leads to assumptions shattered - leads to new assumptions made leads to difficulty + PTSD
What are post trauma risk factors?
- lack of social support
- maladaptive coping
