Psychophysiological Reactivity Model
Exposure to Stress causes a physiological response in the body, and everytime your body reacts, you get more prone to disease
What do they measure when they measure physiological measures of stress?
- Heartrate
- Systolic blood pressure
- Diastolic blood pressure
- Cortisol levels

When looking at someones hostility vs someones family history, which puts you more at risk?
not all people that are hostile are at risk, people that also have a genetic risk are the people that are the most at risk
Does the way you eat also impact your likeliness to get illness?
Yes, testing with high salt diet showed that you were more suceptible to getting disease
