snap judgements we make of a person based on their appearance and body language

beliefs we have about a person or group ( cognitive ) and are generally inaccurate
what is a cognitive miser
human tendency to use little mental energy when judging a person
what is a prejudice
a feeling we have about a person or group ( affective ). they are always negative
what is discrimination
acting upon your prejudice feelings towards a person or group through actions.
