Humanists beliefs
Humanist believe that we choose most of our behaviors and these choices are guided by physiological ,emotional or ,spiritual needs.
The humanists
Including theorists Abraham Maslow and carl rogers,stresses individual choice and free will.
Deterministic behaviorists
Behaviorists are supporters of determinism because they believe that the environment is the only determinant of behavior.
Psycho analytical perspective
Believe that the unconscious mind controls much of our thoughts and actions.
Bio psychology perspective
Explain human thought and behaviour strictly in terms of biological processes. Human cognition and reactions might be caused by effects of our genes,hormones and neurotransmitters in the brain or a combination of all three.
Evolutionary perspective
Examine thoughts and actions in terms of natural selection.
Behavioral perspective
Behaviourists explain human thought and behaviour in terms of conditioning. They look strictly at observable behaviour s and human and animal responses to different kind of stimuli. They look at what behaviour was rewarded for.
Cognitive perspective
Examine human thought and behaviour in terms of how we interpret,process and remember environmental events.
Social cultural perspective
Look at hoe our thoughts and behaviours vary between cultures. They emphasize the influence culture has on the way we think and act.
Biopyschosocial perspective
Acknowledges that’s human thinking and behaviour results from combination of biological ,psychological and social factors.
