Q

describe the example for the ‘unconscious mind’ assumption

A

it is schizophrenia. people who believe in the psychodynamic approach think that conflict in the unconscious mind causes schizophrenia symptoms like delusions or hallucinations. e.g a fixation in the oral stage is created in childhood, in adulthood, when they experience too much stress, they REGRESS back to the oral stage, but here the ego is not fully formed, leaving the ID to run free, explaining things like voices in your head telling you to do things like stealing things you want
