- Re-experience event
- Avoid stimuli & decreased interest
- Increased arousal
Cf, Suicidality is a comorbidity, not a component of PTSD.
Atypical depression: Dx
Mood reactivity (improved mood with positive event, which is not typical of depression) + At least 2 of:
- hypersomnia
- wt gain
- leaden paralysis
- rejection hypersensitivity
Panic d/o: Tx
- SSRI
- Long-acting benzo
- Exposure therapy
- Progressive relaxation
- CBT
Most important Tx of delirium?
Find underlying cause (the only definitive Tx)
La belle indifference
1) Def
2) Association with conversion d/o
1) Indifferent to symptom (not interested)
2) it is Uncommon to find in conversion d/o (Cf. malingering)
Somatic Sx d/o: DSM5 criteria
aka. Hypochondriac
- 1+ Sx that are distressing
- Persistent through about Sx
- Excessive time and E devoted to health concerns.
- Sx present for more than 6 month
