1) Progressive difficulty walking & bilateral calf pain relieved when leaning forward (opens up the spine)

Bone densitometry (NOT radionuclide bone scan)
Rotator cuff tear
1) Mechanism

3) Definitive mgmt
1) falling on outstretched arm
2) weakness, but passive ROM preserved. May not have pain or deformity.
3) Surgery. (Tear may worsen without surgical repair.)
Paralytic ileus
1) Def
2) Causes
1) aka Post-op ileus: An acute complication that can occur after orthopedic surgery.
2) Metabolic or electrolyte AbN, medications, sepsis, etc
