Soya products, kidney beans,lentils, quorn,chickpeas,bread , pasta and rice

What is fat needed for

Carbohydrates supply the body with energy
Starchy carbohydrates (that release energy slowly) include:
Bread,pasta,rice,couscous, potatoes
What happens if more starch or sugar is eaten than required
The excess is stored as fat in the body and this may lead to obesity
Sugary carbohydrates (that release energy quickly include)
Sweets,biscuits,fizzy drinks,some sauces ,cakes and buns
