Specificity ,progression ,overload , reversibility and individuality.
What is specificity?
It refers to matching training directly to the movement patterns , conditions and context required by or related to the physical activity or sport
What is overload ?
it refers to working harder than what the body is normally capable of
What is progression ?
It refers to gradually increasing the workload of training over time
What is reversibility?
It refers to losing the long term adaptations to training which are not permanent and are easily lost without continued training
What is individuality ?
It refers to tailoring training to an athletes characteristics and needs such as age gender and current fitness level .
