Name and explain the coping strategies in managing anxiety .

A

Progressive muscle relaxation , imagery , mental rehearsal and goal setting . Relaxation is a physical process that concerns removing unnecessary muscular tension in the body. Imagery is a mental process to recreate positive experiences or picture new events to prepare yourself mentally for performance . Mental rehearsal is a mental imagery process of forming an image in your mind if the skills or event about to be performed . Goals are able to influence a performers emotional state , especially by enhancing his / her motivation , confidence and persistence on a task
