Epiphyseal end of long bone

Distal femur, proximal tibial = double bouble appearance

oesteochondroma

A

Most common benign, male <25 yrs

Mature bone with cartilagenous cap
Commonly origininate from long metaphysis
Malignant transformation to chondrosarcoma is RARE

Risk factor: paget’s, bone infar, radiation, fam retinoblastoma

Metaphysis of lone bone, arounnddistal femur, proximal tibial

Codman’s angle (elevation of periosteum) or sunburst

A

Boy < 15 yrs age
Diaphysis of long bone, pelvis, scapula, ribs

Anaplastic small blue cells
Extremely aggressive with early mets

Onion skin appearance

11,22 translocation

A

Men 30-60 yrs of age
Usually in pelvis, spine, scapula, humerus, tibia or femur

Malignant cartilagnous tumor
Either 1’ origin or from osteochondroma

Expansile glistening mass within the medullary cavity
