Impact of migration
Those who move are often left disappointed and disillusioned
Conditions often worse than those left

Racial tension, discriminated against for jobs
Immigrants take lower paid jobs
Provide culture and additional labour in areas with falling birth rates
Advantages of migration
Receiving countries acquire labour for a variety of occupations which they may have previously had trouble filling
Home countries benefit due to money sent back and from skills acquired on their return
Reduced pressure on resources whilst away
Addition of culture in terms of customs language and traditions
Can balance populations
Disadvantages of migration (Demand HEHE)
Serious depopulation if large numbers leave
Rural villages can be left with no one but old people and eventually communities die out
Pressure created by immigration into new areas on existing population and a rise in racial tension
New immigrants increase demand HEHE
Problems created by immigrant will to work for less
Accommodation demand often cannot be met resulting in shanty towns
