- Change in the status of women - jobs and careers over marriage and family
- Low number of children = contraception and couples having children much later in marriage
- Wealth of country and high standard of living
- Improvement in living standard by having less children
- Healthcare, Education, Housing and Employment
- High income per capita
- Healthcare = High LE

- No future workforce due to lack of young people
- Elderly care demand increases
- Underpopulation - Both birth and death rate are low and almost the same
- Economically active have to provide for larger dependent age group such as increased taxes

- High birth rate on both sides
- Large proportion of young people
- Pyramidal in shape
- Numbers decreasing with age
- Next to no old - low LE

- Lack of social and economic development
- Low standard of wealth, industry, health, education etc
- High birth and death rate
- More children born because infant mortality rates are high and youth is required to bring income and care for elderly parents

- Overpopulation - A reduction in the existing population would improve the lives of those remaining
- Lack of food
- Poor housing
- People forced into living in poor accommodation such as shanty towns
- High unemployment - Too many for jobs available
