Q

How to know if you are on a one way street?

A

blue rectangular ‘one way’ traffic signs (see Fig.18) will be placed at the beginning of the road and at intervals along the way to inform motorists that the road is one way. Road signs will inform you of what happens at the end of the one-way road. Often a one-way road will end, giving way to road with two-way traffic.

A

Brakes should not feel spongy or slack. Brakes should be tested as you set off. Vehicle should not pull to one side.

25
Q

A
  1. Manufacturer’s guide
  2. Use a reliable pressure gauge
  3. Check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold

Q

How do you use a Pressure Gauge?

A
  1. Before checking the pressure, the car should be parked, engine switched off and the emergency break applied.
  2. In your cars manufacturer’s guide, find the recommended tire inflation measurement. Sometimes this information can be found on a sticker situated on the driver or passenger side door frame/panel.
  3. Locate the tyre’s valve stem and unscrew the cap
  4. Insert the gauge into the valve stem and push towards the tire for a couple seconds. It’s the same principle for the stick, dial and digital types.
