Puffin Crossing
. There are no flashing amber lights on a puffin crossing.
. You must wait until the lights return to green before you can continue to drive.

Pelican Crossing
. There are flashing amber lights on a pelican crossing
. They feature a black and yellow box on the side of the road for the pedestrian with a WAIT sign.
. If there are no pedestrians remaining on the crossing while the signal is flashing amber, you can continue on your way.

  1. Put the car in reverse
  2. Lock your wheel all the way to the left (or whichever side is the curb)
  3. Check mirrors and blind spots
  4. Slowly reverse until you are closer.
  5. Stop
  6. Lock your wheel all the way to the right (or whichever side is opposite the curb)
  7. Check mirrors and blind spots
  8. Slowly reverse until you see on the left mirror that you are parallel with the curb again.
  9. Straighten your wheel
  10. Put in Park
