Q

What are the methods for potable water?(4)

A

Filtration: wire mesh: wire mesh screens big objects
Sterilisation: to kill bacteria, bubble chlorine gas

Distillation: desalinate sea water by neutralising ph. Evaporate water in flask and then condenses in condenser. Causing liquidation. Collect water in beaker, then test ph.

Reverse osmosis: Salt water pass through membrane. Allowing only water molecules . Trapping large molecules (expensive from lots of energy)
