What are homologous series?
Similar properties that react in similar ways
What are the properties of alkanes?
When chain length increases, boiling point increases
-/shorter changing evaporate more easily and more flammable

-carbon dioxide

How is crude oil formed?
From the dead remains of animals (plankton)
Which is then pressured from the high pressure underground
Is fossil fuel finite or infinite

What is fractional distillation ? (And steps)
Heating crude oil to seperate different compounds
-oil goes in chamber until it’s a gas
-then goes in fractionating Column. (Hot at bottom, cooler at top)
-when reach temperature lower than boiling point. Will condense to liquid
