Name two strengths of a Pilot Study.

A
  • It can save money and time by the researcher not having to repeat the actual study which is less controlled
  • The data collected will be valid because changes can be made to the procedure in order for the results to measure what they intended to be measured

Name two limitations of a Pilot Study.

  • More participants are required as you need a different sample from the original pilot study
  • It could be a waste of time and money as you may find that nothing needed to be changed
