A PERT diagram is a means of presenting a process
These boxes are connected to other boxes by lines and arrows which represent sequence and dependency relationships (i.e., X must be done before Y can be done)

Use the rectangular shape to depict each activity
Use the arrows to show the relationships between the activities
Purpose
schedule,
organise
coordinate tasks within a project.
• It provides a graphical representation of a project’s timeline that allows project managers to break down each individual tasks in the project for analysis
Advantages
Helps coordinate departments
Allows individuals to actively analysis individual tasks
Disadvantages
Heavily emphasis on time -set out deadlines for project tasks to ensure that the project is on track at all times
labour intensive
Not an ideal method for long term project
