Are stable, consistent, enduring
Extroverted people give opinion loudly

Characteristics of social learning theory
Suggest behaviour is learnt from significant others by social isolation.
We learn from people we hold in high esteem = role models
Socialisation
Developing personality traits by associating and learning from others
What are the two types of socialisation
Primary - from our family
Secondary - schools,media, learning from others
What behaviour do we copy?
Behaviour that we see as successful and powerful and is consistently shown to us
Vicarious learning
When a person is motivated to learn by watching someone else work and be rewarded
Four steps in vicarious learning?

What is the interactionist approach?
A theory which combines trait and social learning to predict behaviour in situations
What is The Hollander approach ?
A theory that suggests the personality is made up of 3 features
What are the 3 features of the Hollander approach?

Role related behaviour
Credulous approach
You believe the theories, you accept a link that personality can predict behaviour
Sceptical approach
You don’t believe them, you doubt the link that personality can predict behaviour
How could interactionist approach improve performance?
Coach predicts potential aggressive behaviour - remove player before getting sent off.
Coach could change players by encouraging them in situations like penalties.
