Peripheral Nervous System Flashcards
This peripheral nerve is innervated by C5-C6, Innervates coracobrachialis, biceps brachia, and brachial.
Musculocutaneous Nerve
Will have loss of forearm flexion when supinated, and weakened supination
This nerve has spinal cord segments C5-C6 to supply it, innervates the deltoid and teres minor.
Axillary nerve
loss of shoulder abduction, and weakened ER
This nerve comes from C5, C6, C7, C8, and T1, innervates triceps, ancones, supinator, wrist, fingers, and thumb extensors.
Radial
will have loss of elbow, wrist, and finger extension
What spinal cord segments supply the median nerve?
C6, C7, C8, T1
innervates pronators and flexors of distal UE
This nerve comes from spinal cord segments C7, C8, and T1. Innervates the flexor carpi ulnaris, and flexor digitorum profundus.
Ulnar Nerve
(weakened ulnar deviation, and wrist/finger flexion
This nerve comes from spinal cord segments L4-S3, innervates hamstrings and adductor magnus
Sciatic
weakened knee flexion, hip adduction, and loss of all muscle function blow knee
This nerve comes from L2-L4 and innervates the quads, sartorial, iliac, and pectinous.
Femoral
weak nee extension, and hip flexion
This nerve comes from L4-S3, innervates gastrocs, soleus, planters, polplieus, and tibias posterior.
Tibial Nerve
Loss of plantar flexion
This nerve is innervated by L5-S2, innervates fibulas longs and braves.
Superficial fibular nerve (peroneal)
weakened eversion
This nerve comes from L4-S2, innervates tibias anterior, extensor hallicus longs, and a bunch of other muscles on the anterior lower leg.
Deep fibular nerve
Loss of DF, and weakness of foot intrinsics
