what is the conjunctiva?
A
a thin, transparent membrane that covers the front of the eye, protecting the parts behind it

what is the cornea?
A
responsible for most of the bending of light it is a curved, transparent disc.

what is the pupil?
A
a circular opening whose size is controlled by the iris.

what is the lens?
A
a flexible lens which changes shape - bends light rays inwards.

A
a coloured disc which controls the pupil diameter and the amount of light that enters the eye.

what is the ciliary muscle?
A
pulls on ligaments to change the shape of the lens

what is the sclera?
A
tough outer coat

what is the retina?
A
contains light sensitive ROD and CONE cells.

what is the optic nerve?
A
nerve fibres from the retina to the brain.
