how are hormones carried around the body?
they are secreted into the blood snd carried around the body
what affects does adrenaline have on the body?
- increases heart rate
- widens blood vessels going to the brain and muscles
- narrows blood vessels going to the digestive system organs

where is adrenaline produced?
adrenal glands
what does adrenaline do to the body?
makes the heart beat faster to prepare it for action
where is oestrogen produced?
ovaries
what is the function of oestrogen?
controls development of female sex organs
where is progesterone produced?
ovaries
what is the function of progesterone?
maintains the uterus lining after ovulation
very important in pregnancy
where is testosterone produced?
testes
what is the function of testosterone?
controls the development of male sex organs
where is ADH produced?
pituitary gland
what is the function of ADH?
causes kidneys to reabsorb water from urine
