to compare the differences in the positive experience rating of childcare of children aged 0-24 months and 25 months to 4 years, as reported by parents.
what was our sampling method for our child practical
we used a volunteer sample, where we emailed all the parents of the preschool in the Kingswood community asking for participation
what was the procedure for our child practical
- once we obtained our volunteer sample, we send round a 5 Q questionnaire using survey monkey which were all closed.
- we used likhert or Y/N questions to lead to numerical data. for example, on a scale of 1-5 how would you rate the experience of your child.

- more variation in positive experiences among 0-24 months
- 25 months to 4 years had the most top rated scores of 8
what is the aim of our clinical practical
to investigate whether there is a difference in the language used by broadsheet and tabloid newspapers

for broadsheet we used the telegraph
for tabloid we used the sun

what was the procedure of our clinical practical
- we familiarised ourselves with the articles by reading through them and picking out key words to fit into negative and neural language.
-we then chose the number of articles we will use in each newspaper, 6. - types of negative words were: butchered, nightmare.
- neutral words were: serious and crisis
what were the results of our clinical practical
there were more negative words in the tabloid with 4 negative articles and 3 for the broadsheet
what was the test we did for our practical
chi squared and our critical value was 2.71
