Management of pancreatic cancer

A

<20% are suitable for surgery at diagnosis

  • Whipple’s (pancreaticoduodenectomy) for resectable lesions in the head of pancreas.
  • adjuvant chemotherapy is usually given following surgery
  • ERCP with stenting = used for palliation
  • palliative chemotherapy
