A
Use a small force to produce a bigger force using liquid and cross-sectional areas.

A
Car braking systems, car jacks, manufacturing and deployment of landing gear on planes.

What happens in a hydraulic system?
A
There is an equal pressure but there is a smaller force at the first piston so the pressure is transmitted to the second piston.
