What is electromagnetic induction?
A
The creation of a potential difference across a conductor which is experiencing a change in magnetic field.

How can you cause electromagnetic induction?
A
By moving a magnet in a coil of wire to cut the field lines, creating a ‘blip’ of current.

What are dynamos used for?
A
On bikes to power the lights.

How do dynamos work?
A
The cog wheel touches one of the wheels, which turns the cog as it moves, which is attached to the magnet, creating an AC current.
