opioid overdose- respiratory rate less than 12
naloxone- Narcan only until respiratory rate is normal not return to normal level of consciousness– NEVER activated charcoal

N-acetyl cysteine, can also uses activated charcoal if 4 hours within ingestion
Tachycardia, elevated blood pressure, respiratory rate, mydriasis, CNS stimulation.
anti-histamines, tricyclics, parkinson’s meds, sympathomemetics- cocaine, pseudoephedrine, caffeine, LSD, ecstacy
Decreased respiratory rate, decreased mental status, physiologic depression, miosis
EtOH, benzos, organophosphate- insectacides, toxic alcohols
Salicylate overdose (ASA) (peto-bismol) topical wart remover, wintergreen pain relievers- (fatal - 3 grams in children; 10-30 grams in adults)- sx hypertnea- rapid deep breathing, metabolic alkalosis, cerebral glucose can be low, may need dialysis
