bleeding and pain if they rupture

USS

What are the most common type of ovarian cysts?
follicular
What are the majority of ovarian malignancies?
adenocarcinomas
What are the 4 types of ovarian cancer?
clear cell
serous
endometriod

What is clear cell ovarian cancer associated with?
Lynch syndrome
How does ovarian cancer present?
mass pressure symptoms GI things - early satiety, bloating, constipation, IBS symptoms insidious onset - late presentation fatigue, weight loss
What are some risk factors for ovarian cancer?
BRCA 60-70 smoking family history old skinny bloated ladies with no babies :(
What are the investigations for ovarian cancer?
serum Ca 125
CEA - rules out bowel cancer
USS
CT - mets
