What do we do if there is a defective DKS?
A
- Check 3 times and try a different if possible
- Front door DKS:
Report to maintenance and in the vehicle repair book - Rear door DKS:
Get permission to enter the drivers cab from the DCM to use there DKS and dispatch from the front if required report to maintenance and record in the vehicle repair book

What do we do if there is a defective Door Control Panel cover?
A
- Front door:
Inform maintenance and remain by the panel at all times; if required get permission from DCM dispatch from the front, preferably get a safety critical competent staff member to guard the area and dispatch as usual
-Rear door:
Remain at panel at all times, report to DCM and maintenance control

What do we do if the bell buzzer is defective?
A
- Try it 3 times
- Contact maintenance control and make a record in Vehicle Repair book
- Reach a clear understanding with the driver how ready to start signal will be given

Protocol for defective rear light?
A
- 1 light out:
Inform driver and Maintenance, record in vehicle repair book - 2 lights out:
Inform driver and maintenance, record in vehicle repair book
Place TOC lite showing Red light in bullet and place on rear of the train

Protocol for defective headlight?
A
- Inform driver and maintenance, fill in vehicle repair book, Place TOC lite and attach to the front of the train
Train can proceed at maximum of 75mph
